After 23 years of dedication, local gem Argentina Bakery is expanding and moving into a beautiful new location. 

It’s a monumental achievement for a small business that has defied all odds and earned avid, loyal customers. 

For owner Luly Le Donne, an entrepreneur, mentor, and immigrant from Mendoza, Argentina, the milestone is a testament to the value of hard work, following your dreams, and bringing a strong, close-knit team along with you. The new location features:

• A new, much larger space, right off the north side of SH-183 near Beltline Rd

• An expanded menu that continues to focus on authenticity and quality, from pastries to cakes to entrees

• DFW finally gets the famous Argentinian Choripan sandwich (beloved by Anthony Bourdain)

• A full rebrand, marking a new beginning and elevating the experience for loyal customers and new ones alike

It’s a celebratory moment for three generations of women. Luly says she is taking this opportunity to reflect and thank all those who have helped make this possible, starting with her mother, Marcella Padilla, a former baker back in Argentina who had her own catering business, who stood by her side when the business launched and whose empanada recipes are still used today. 

Luly says it’s also a win for the nearly all-women team that keeps the business going every day. They too have powerful stories that weave into the history of Argentina Bakery. Head Baker, Leticia Sosa, has was training to be a baker by age 18 in Argentina, and the road that brought her to this career and to be part of Argentina Bakery for 10+ years now, is moving in its own right.

With determination, Luly, Marcella, Leticia and the women that run daily operations have made this dream a reality and they share this accomplishment together. 

The new location marks a bold move with a lot on the line for them; the business has no outside investors and never has. Still, something special has happened here for the benefit of everyone in DFW, and the grand opening is just around the corner.
